It should sound strange, but I only used pencil
But, the white one is sooooo soft, it could look like if i used charcoal...
Yay for Hugo Weaving, though I have to admit it took me a while to get used to him as Elrond. I think of him as grim and concerned now but when I first saw the Fellowship I thought he seemed grouchy, heehee. ^_^
Anyway, I love the emotion you captured in this picture and the way you captured the actor as well. I wish I could do art like this. Beautiful.
I think it is really difficult to draw a personality of somebody but not impossible !
This is important
There is a good opinion for this: "There is no impossibility, just helplessness"
I think with a good practice, anybody, who has a little talent and persistency are able to learn, how to draw it.
I had a biginning either, when my work was everithing, but not looked like the way I wanted
So, I think, you can learn it too
It only needs one thing: PRESISTENCY !

By the way, try to practice how to draw different materials, becouse, if you improve this thing, you can advance faster in drawing characters. For example, the human skin and the material of a human eye is a different thing

picit szögletes lett sztem...
Azért, nem olyan könnyű, egy igazolvány fénykép méretű képről egy A/3-as rajzot készíteni
Eléggé sok helyen ki kellet találnom, hogy mit csinálok, mert nem tudtam, ill. láttam, hogy mi van az eredeti képen, olyan apró volt
Emellett... hát, egyik első próbálkozásom volt ezen a fajta papíron egy portréval. Mondanom sem kell, hogy most már jobban meg tudnám csinálni
De, soron kívül, még így is sikerült szerintem elkapnom a jó öreg John Smith ügynök ábrázatát
Amúgy, jah... lehet, hogy kicsit szögletes lett. Eddig nem vettem észre
De... hol szögletes ?

amugy meg az árnyékolás teszi szögletessé... nagyon szoborszerü az egész. élesek nagyon az árnyékok, kevés az átmenet
Ezt a gondot már szerencsére orvosoltam a Gimlinél
Ill. annál a rajznál amit most csinálok, az még a Gimlinél is jobb árnyékolás tekintetében (szerintem). de majd úgyis felpakolom ide is
