Artist's Comments

Well :D This man was an "official" modell for our school. Really, he works something else, and as the title says, he like to drink a "bit". But, who's not ? :aww:
There was another modell sitting next to it, but we had to choose between them, and I found that he is more capeble of makeing a good art from him. He has a really intresting face and other features :D
I like his mimicry :aww:

This piece was made about a 1 hour. After that, I don't really wanted to continue it, becouse, I liked this half-complite state that this piece has now :D
Sometimes, I like not to finish some of my arts, to see, how would it look like that way :D

As you may discover, in classes, I have a really different drawing style :aww:
On a A/2 paper, and with the really short amount of time, I don't have the chance to make a fully drawen piece :D
And of course, our techers don't really encourage us to make realistic pictures...
I hate this new kind of mumbo-jumbo (called avangard)... they really piss me off that they force me/us to draw in their style sometimes...
Ehh... but, I guess, I don't really care about this :D
I want to make an own style not a copie of others...

Well, I think, as time passes, this will surely light :aww:

it's an excellent drawing, as always! very well captured expression on his face..

i think it's really stupid that teachers actually force you to draw like them, but maybe teachers don't know better,or think they are doing good, or they are being just a pain in the back or having a bad day..

i know you are very gifted, i've seen your stuff here, but you just can't expect that your gift alone will make you the even greater artist i know you can be.. the more different things you learn (it may be manga, or art history, or representative portraiture, or avant-garde or surrealism or whatever it is) the more versatile you get, the more options you have, the more things you can see, the farther you can go with your art...
knowledge changes your point of view, it can set you free :) the artist is the mirror of his world, so it's really important that you do avant-gard too, it gives you perspective, for yourself and your art... even if you want to make your own style :)

(sorry for the huge text)

true freedom comes only from the absence of thought
:icontanathiel:
No :D
I have read it on your page ;)
But I guess, I just agree with your opiniont ;) :D
Is is harder to make something look like it is in the real world :aww:

Thanks for the huge text :aww:
I loved to read it through :D Well... I do different type of arts if I asked to do it, but, it is a little bit far from me. I can use it, if I have to, and I learned the in-and-out of the different styles. But, about avangard, I simply don't understand why they want to simplyfie an art work :D
OK. they wanted to make something new.
I like a bunch of art styles :D But, the least one is Secession. That is the last reasonable art style in my opinion. And I love that style, and if I can, I use its lines, and such.
For example, in the "Galadriel" piece, I used this thinking in her hair :D

I don't have any problems, with the different art styles. They are part of our life, of course :D
But there are a few styles I don't want to use. Becouse, it is opposing all the thing I'm thinking about Art. :aww: I like to draw something, that resambles reality the most :D
Of course sometimes, I like to get away from reality, but just a bit ;)
This is the reason, I like only the Secession from the modern art styles :aww:

About teachers... well... it is a commonthinking, that these teachers want students to draw like them. At least, they have to use the teachers style.
It is funny I admit, but most of my classmates who is comeing from one art high school and they made their studies in one art teacher, they have nearly completly similar line drawing style =P
